Chris Blakey plays acoustic folk-pop music (guitar and vocals) and performs regularly around Southern and Central California at venues such as Ocean View Bar & Grill, Republic of Pie, Wild Parrot Brewing, The Hitching Post Winery, and Dark Star Cellars.
Chris fell in love with music at age 7, when the DJ who lived in the apartment next door would give him the station’s offloaded 45s. Today, Chris performs acoustic folk-pop music (guitar and vocals).
He enjoys playing songs ranging from early James Taylor to acoustic John Mayer, and also writes and performs his own originals. Chris’s songs are about large themes – relationships, and the questions, problems, and joys of life – with an undercurrent of hope.
